Patagonia is one of my favorite brands to buy, especially when it comes to my outdoor gear. I’ve had great experiences in the past, but once in a while I’ve had to return an item.

This post goes over everything you might need to know to easily and successfully return your Patagonia items. It also goes over any restrictions that might limit what or how their products can be returned.

Customers are free to return anything they bought from Patagonia in 2022, including new and discounted items. Although there is no defined return period, Patagonia requests that returns for fit or color be made as soon as possible and that products always be returned in new condition, with tags attached.

Keep in mind that returns received more than one year after the purchase date will only receive a Patagonia merchandise credit as a refund.

Does Patagonia Offer Free Returns?

However, Patagonia does not, sadly, provide free online returns or exchanges. Customers who wish to return an item to Patagonia by mail must first obtain a $5 postage label from the company’s site in order to begin the return procedure.
